Do others think there would be value in this, or am I smoking crack?

Personally, as one of the coordinators for the web-site's content, the PR and various other issues for the Fink Project, I would rather like to see more contributions to the official Documentation. If you are concerned about such trivial answers, you could improve the FAQ or submit new sections for the web-site. This gives us a way to keep all the documentation together and it gives you the advantage of an "official review". We would want nothing less than someone passing on some advise which might fix the problem, but offers the wrong solution.

Furtermore I have been working on gotfink.info , which is not live yet, but shall be a community web-site. The reason it is still delayed, is because I know little about drupal and the guy that helps me has gotten busy, which is understandable.

So from my personal point of view, rather invest time into improving the official web-site than building a wiki.

And yes, I have a dislike of wikis too, so take this with a grain if salt
