After running a self-update and compiling the latest version of fink I get the following error:
dpkg: parse error, in file `/sw/var/lib/dpkg/status' near line 2653 package `term-progressbar-pm581':
`Replaces' field, reference to `term-pBogressbQr-pm': version contains ` '
This looks like a corrupt file. Have a look at
/sw/fink/10.3/unstable/main/finkinfo/libs/perlmods/term-progressbar-pm581.info
and see whether it really has a "Replaces:" line that contains "term-pBogressbQr-pm". If yes, remove this file and do another selfupdate.
As long as this is not fixed, you cannot install anything, as you have noticed.
### execution of dpkg failed, exit code 2 Failed: can't install package fink-0.23.1-1
I also get this strange output from a fink list -o command:
(i) apt 0.5.4-51 Advanced front-end for dpkg
[etc, nothing strange here] []
Trying to update just uri-pm581 as an example gives this:
/usr/bin/sudo /sw/bin/fink update uri-pm581
Information about 4038 packages read in 4 seconds.
The following package will be installed or updated:
uri-pm581
dpkg -i /sw/fink/dists/unstable/main/binary-darwin-powerpc/libs/perlmods/uri- pm581_1.33-1_darwin-powerpc.deb
dpkg: parse error, in file `/sw/var/lib/dpkg/status' near line 2653 package `term-progressbar-pm581':
`Replaces' field, reference to `term-pBogressbQr-pm': version contains ` '
### execution of dpkg failed, exit code 2
Failed: can't install package uri-pm581-1.33-1
Same error as before. Fix it.
