And I have no problem with this (or other) builds using cc1plus from XCode1.2
The problem could be that the instructions I gave for the downgrade hack did not include the "chmod +x" that is necessary if one downloads the file from the web.
sudo chmod +x /usr/libexec/gcc/darwin/ppc/3.3/cc1plus
