Are you sure you did both - fink scanpackages on the server machine and then - sudo apt-get update on the client machine
Thanks for the help Martin and Alexander. I probably had not done a fink scanpackages on the server machine after the last rebuild of kdelibs3-ssl. I thought that since the package version hadn't changed since the last time I did a fink scanpackages that I didn't need to wait to do another one. I did one now, and the problem is solved.
