I'm still unable to print from Gnumeric; however, Alexander Hansen has stated that Gnumeric prints for him.

I know I'm not the only one with the problem. The bug list at
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=161303
has a posting from Kevin Horton which mirrors my experience. Gnumeric's "print preview" reports there is "no visible output", and my log is basically the same as that in the bug report.
If it should work, I would appreciate suggestions about what to troubleshoot. Over the past months of inability to print, I have tried rebuilding nearly all of the packages listed as dependencies. Gnumeric has been updated a number of times.
I have no difficulty printing from other apps, such as AbiWord. AbiWord is set to print from lpr. I have tried various options from the Gnumeric print dialog, including
Printer: Generic Postscript
Settings: Default
Location: lpr
without success. (If the "Printer:" setting should be lpr, I don't know how to set it!)
I have also tried changing fonts.
I am running OS 10.3.7, xFree86 4.4.0-14, Gnome 2.6, gnumeric 1.4.1-1; all up-to-date.
One comment on the bug report attributed the problem to gnome-print. I have the following related items installed:

On another machine, the gnome-print 0.37.3 packages are not installed. Gnumeric does not print on that machine also.
I'm using Gnumeric almost daily; it sure would be nice to be able to print from it!
