Abiword does this.

Confirmed that I had in the past Abiword installed on the one mac and not the other (presence of .Abisuite dir).
I gave up Abiword as too unstable and use antiword and OpenOffice (occaisionally) instead.


Now we need to explain what X and mozilla are doing playing with this dir if it is present...
