Without addressing this specific error, I'd note that 2.0.0 is a year and a half old...the 2.0 series went to 2.0.3. But if gnome-python numbering tracks that of GNOME itself, there a 2.6.2 (there's also a 2.10 series, but I don't know if it requres GNOME-2.10).
There are also many missing BuildDepends in the current gnome-python pkgs (but I don't know if they cause the reported error).
Jeremy, any thoughts about upgrading the packages?
While waiting for something more pertinent to happen, I patched this on CVS. I couldn't update-all any more myself because of this. Although I didn't want to install gnome-python2-py23 and I thought I had eliminated all possible packages that depend on it, this cursed thing inserted itself every time into the list of packages to install and broke update-all.
It should now at least build.
