Rachid: You do need to run ranlib on the library manually before linking to it, but then it should work fine (it does for me)Hi
I have installed g95 from fink . When I try to compile something, the compilation itself is all right but when I am linking, I get the following message :
/sw/lib/odcctools/bin/ld: archive: blabla.a has no table of contents
I tried ranlib on the .a file, but it gave me other mistakes.
any idea ? thanks - Rachid
When you say "it gave you other mistakes", what do you mean exactly?

It appears the real problem was actually the "others mistakes" due to my bugged netcdf library. I re-compiled it and I works now using ranlib before the linking.
thanks all for your help
Rachid
