I selfupdated fink this morning, and found 4 python 2.4.1 packages
needed updating. The update-all failed with:
checking for gettimeofday... yes
checking for major... yes
checking for getaddrinfo... yes
checking getaddrinfo bug... buggy
Fatal: You must get working getaddrinfo() function.
or you can specify "--disable-ipv6".

I tried again, and got the same failure.
% fink --version
Package manager version: 0.24.2
Distribution version: 0.7.1.rsync
% sw_vers
ProductName: Mac OS X
ProductVersion: 10.3.8
BuildVersion: 7U16
I had the same problem, but, mysteriously, it resolved itself when I
updated the packages singly rather than via "update-all". I believe I
updated the "python" package first.
