That command option is called "--use-binary-dist" or "-b" for short. The version you are trying to install exists in the binary distribution, so you can install it either with "fink -b" or with "sudo apt-get" or by using FinkCommander.
Binary install worked. Actually, reinstall. Fink commander thinks that I'm already up to date.
