Hi,
i've compiled kde 3.4 on tiger, everything went fine but i cannot enable the anti-aliasing on the fonts. if i select the option in the control center, the applications keep having those ugly fonts, and if i restart X the option is unselected.
is there a way to solve ?

thanks

I think its the same error.....

Hmmm.. as soon as I sent the previos mail, by magic or because of some weird combination of keys I pushed, the KDE appeared!!!
But the letters appeared as boxes, as if something wrong with fonts.

About the letters appearing as boxes:

Try to run qtconfig and see if the same thing happens (from the Terminal command prompt: "open-x11 qtconfig")
If the same problem appears, run the following command and see if things are different afterwards:

  sudo fc-cache

This may take a while, it creates font caches that were not created correctly during Tiger installation. I suspect this will have to go into a new FAQ entry when some more people start trying qt applications on Tiger...
