Remove /opt/local/bin from your path and unset DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH,
LIBRARY_PATH and any other env vars that you have with LIBRARY or LD in
them, then try again.

Peter

/opt/local/bin is not in my path; nothing in opt or under opt is in any of my various path statements.

Try renaming /opt/local then--clearly your linker is trying to glom on to libraries there.

I'm sorry, I didn't make myself understood; I have no such directory. Not at all. It is not set by mistake in my preferences either. set | grep local returns nothing.

Hmmm.

Something on your system has that linked in, apparently. You can check you libraries under /sw/lib via

otool -L /sw/lib

and see if anything comes up.

It would seem that gnome-vfs is the culprit. It has a link to something in /opt. So that package is screwed up.
