I got past the problem explained in the FAQ, and now I get this problem:

Before reporting any errors, please run "fink selfupdate" and
try again. If you continue to have issues, please check to see if the
FAQ on fink's website solves the problem. If not, ask on the fink-users
or fink-beginners mailing lists. As a last resort, you can try e- mailing
the maintainer directly:

This, in particular, draws my attention:

powerpc-apple-darwin8-gcc-4.0.0: unrecognized option `-pthread'

should I assume that this is a problem with the new gcc that comes with the Tiger developer tools, and hope for a change somewhere along the line?

thanks,

- Kevin
