I also had the problem that gimp-2.0 had with Tiger
and the lib, whose name I can't remember right now,
that was too new (version 5.0.0 when gimp2 wanted
4.3.0 or earlier). I haven't seen anything more about it.
I got around it by installing gimp-1.2 instead.

I thought I should report that gimp-2.0 compiles fine
now on Tiger.

Today I did a fink selfupdate and update-all, then on
a whim, tried gimp-2.0. It installed fine. I created a
symbolic link in /sw/bin from gimp to gimp-2.0
to simplify typing.

This is the first time I've seen
gimp2. All I can say is "Wow!" The interface has
been updated. I expect the internals are just as
"Wow," but that will take some more exploring to
discover.
