This might be a problem with a recent QuickTime update. Make
sure you have the file
/System/Library/Frameworks/QuickTime.framework/Headers/
ImageCompression.h
If not, [re]install the QuickTime SDK, either from your OSX
system disk or from Software Update (also available from Apple
at http:// developer.apple.com/sdk/#QT)
I believe the new XCode 2.1 has newer QT headers, I'm not sure if
they are different from the sdk though.
You are right, the QuickTimeSDK.pkg I am seeing here was indeed
installed as part of Xcode-2.1. The one from the Apple download
site is called QuickTime701SDK.pkg, but AFAICT at least the
ImageCompression headers are identical except for the version number.
Thanks for the replies everyone, I will have to look at things some
more. I am going to download XCode 2.1, and will also look at the
new Quicktime SDK.
