Mention of Gnumeric always gets my hopes up. I use it and have used it
for some time. However, for some time I have been unable to print from
the application. I have reported it in gnome bugzilla in the past and
have addressed the problem in the fink lists. Others have confirmed
their inability to print but no solution (to my knowledge) has been
posted.
The most obvious evidence of a problem is when "Print Preview" is
selected. The response is a preview page with "No visible output was
created" printed in red on the page. Page setup does not allow
selection of page sizes; however, the print dialog page does allow page
size selection if "generic postscript" printer is chosen (using CUPS).
Nothing is output to lp, however.
I would appreciate knowing whether you were able to print (with OS
10.3.9 and gnumeric - latest version at the time you switched to 10.4).
I am using XFree86, Gnome, and all updates are current in the unstable
branch of Fink.
I am also curious as to what the explicit path setting accomplished.
env DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH=/sw/lib gnumeric
