For anyone who may have been following my attempts to install openoffice.org and the openoffice.org-he subpackage, I wish to report that having successfully installed and run openoffice, I failed to install openoffice.org-he. I had reverted to the original .info file; notwithstanding that openoffice.org itself was installed, my new fink install command (with the original openoffice.org.info file) initiated the rebuilding of the entire openoffice.org suite, including all of the language packs; I finally had to stop this process when my initial free disk space of 50GB had been reduced to 270MB.

My next tweak to the .info file will be to remove the --with-lang=ALL line from ConfigureParams script, and to remove all of the language splitoffs except for %N-he.

I repeat to the maintainers: It is unreasonable to insist that any build of openoffice.org include all of the splitoffs, at 4GB apiece and nearly 200GB total disk space. I have just finished a fink selfupdate, and it does not appear that the openoffice.org.info file has been modified. How about it?

Jonathan
