Martin & Alexander->

The only way I can get this is when I set the environment variable DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH to /sw/lib.

Aha! I found a "setenv DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH /sw/bin" buried in my .tcshrc. It must be a fix for some fink related problem from a long time ago (I'm too old to remember...). Anyone remember? Should it be mentioned in the docs to prevent other long-time fink users from wasting bandwidth & your valuable time?

It's out of my .tcshrc, I'm doing a clean install and will post if the problem recurs.

Once again, many thanks for your help,
Sam
