Well,
The first msg I sent to the list had the output which was from the attempted rebuild of libxml2-py24. After sending the first message I also tried to remove but got an error msge that there was nothing to remove & then I tried just plain fink install on the package. I get the message every time.
From what I'm understanding from the link:
http://fink.sourceforge.net/faq/comp-general.php?phpLang=en#python-mods
that Alexander sent your supposed to rebuild the offending package. Based on the output quoted on the website that offending package was plain python24 (python24-2.4.1-1) but I get the error on libxml2-py24 when I'm trying to install (or run update-all) so that's what I'm trying to get past. Are you saying that I need to rebuild python24 then try libxml2-py24 again too? Maybe I was trying to read too much into the link. I'll go ahead and try that.
Thanks,
Brandon

FYI,
On OS X 10.4.2, XCode 2.1. I've run selfupdate twice today as well & continue to get this when trying to update-all.

Did you rebuild python24 as the FAQ suggests?
