Andrea: Does running 'sudo fc-cache' fix it?
BTW: the WXAgg backend won't work (I didn't enable it), but TkAgg
should.
After running fc-cache as you suggested the situation is the following:
GTKAgg backend
==============
It works, but it complains about missing 'gnome-fs-home' (that I
ignore what is it). Here it is the warning message:
/sw/lib/python2.4/site-packages/matplotlib/backends/backend_gtk.py:
998: GtkWarning: Could not find the icon 'gnome-fs-home'. The
'hicolor' theme
was not found either, perhaps you need to install it.
You can get a copy from:
http://freedesktop.org/Software/icon-theme/releases
buttons)
TkAgg backend
=============
Segmentation fault.
WXAgg backend
=============
Works like a charm.
Perhaps you was meaning TkAgg is not enabled while WXAgg it is. Any
hints about how to get rid of that annoying warning message when
adopting the GTKAgg backend?
Thanks,
Andrea.
