hangs after about the first hour or so (on a G5) and trying

Daniel Macks has mentioned random python-related build hangs on other
packages, and  I may have seen one too.  It's completely unclear what
to do about them right now.

Actually, I can tell you roughly where it hung the last time, I kept the build log (the first line I've included is just to tell you what is going on at this point...)

I'm in the middle on a build of openoffice.org-en-gb with 10.4.2 and
(fully supported) XCode 2.1.  I'll see if it works differently here.
