Hi everybody,

I have a very weird problem and need urgent help. Hope somebody can help me sort this out: I couldn't run gtk-apps for quite some time, they were simply crashing shortly after running them. I heard of problems with apples linker that had to be fixed by apple so I didn't dig deeper. After some time (today) I did an update-all of my fink- tree. Since then no Fink-X-App is running. They all crash at start with a segmentation fault. Weird thing is: I can run xterm (supplied with X11.app from apple) normally, only when I run it like this 'xterm -fa Monaco' it crashes as well. I already reinstalled applesystemfonts but that didn't help. I am completely clueless atm and am happy for every help I can get as I desperately need some of those apps. If anybody has a few cents on my matter that would be great. I am willing to supply more info if you need it, so far thats my system:

% fink --version
'Package manager version: 0.24.10
Distribution version: 0.8.0.rsync
% uname -r
8.2.0
% X -version
XFree86 Version 4.4.0 / X Window System
(protocol Version 11, revision 0, vendor release 6600)

Greetings to everybody,

Andreas
