The Rosetta emulation layer is clearly doing it's job for your PowerPC
binarie, then.

The "fink" tool doessn't care about the architecture because it's written
in Perl, but other programs it needs (specifically dpkg) won't work
properly--I don't think you'll even be able to do a selfupdate.

You should remove your PowerPC fink tree and install from the Intel
installer.
