Hello,

At the moment I'm using Kile 1.8.1, the latest version available in Fink.
But in fact this version is very old, has bugs and lacks features that were
fixed months ago.
I sent an email to the current maintainer of the package, but got no answer.

So I'd like to know how I can upgrade the package myself.

1) Can I upgrade it on my own computer? Is it just a matter of editing
an .info file, providing the new source tarball and launch a build command?
2) Assuming that I can make it work at home, can I give the result back to
Fink, by uploading the files I modified? What are the quality standards that
I must respect, then?

  Thanks for any help,
