Hello,

Is anybody using xterm mouse support for midnight commander in Fink?
In my case, it doesn't work, although it seems that it should (i.e.
"mc -V" reports "With mouse support on xterm").

Here's what I have:
mc 4.6.0-1013
glib2-shlibs 2.6.6-1113
Darwin Kernel Version 8.8.2 on i386
Apple's X11 1.1.3
Various terminals with mouse support: xterm that comes with Apple's
X11, rxvt 2.7.8-2 and iTerm 0.9.4

Here's what happens:
I set the TERM environment variable to the appropriate terminal and I
run "mc -x" to make sure mouse support is enabled. When I click
somewhere, instead of jumping to the file that I clicked on, some
characters are printed on the command line at the bottom of the
screen. For example, when I click in the upper-left corner, the
characters " !!#!!" are printed.

Other application do not seem to have problems. For example, when I
run "pico -m" (which runs GNU nano 1.2.4), I can click with the mouse
to jump around in the file being edited.

Thank you,
Bruno De Fraine
