I can confirm that the patch worked for me :)  Thanks Martin.

Now, if I type "snmpget --version", I get:
-bash: /usr/bin/snmpget: no such file or directory.

But if I type "/sw/bin/snmpget --version", I get:
NET-SNMP version: 5.4.1

I don't quite understand the difference here, especially sinch "which 
snmpget" yields:
/sw/bin/snmpget

I guess it is some left of binaries/libraries from the original 5.2.1 
installation in /usr/
How do I get rid of that older version?
Is there a "proper" way to get rid of these Apple provided packages?
