I'm running
$ fink --version
Package manager version: 0.27.8
Distribution version: 0.8.1.rsync powerpc
And I've recently installed
PostgreSQL 8.2.4-1021
I was surprised to find that I could not connect to the server
$ psql
psql: could not connect to server: No such file or directory
Is the server running locally and accepting
connections on Unix domain socket "/tmp/.s.PGSQL.5432"?
But I'm also not quite sure what I should do to get it started. Any advice
on where to get started?
