I got this imac last July for a birthday present. It is very new and I
have not tried to add any ram modules.

I run the same application twice. What I mean is I changed one of
the applications by moving it to a different app name using mv. I
changed all string names in the plist to match the new name and
changed the binary name to match also. Every so often my I Imac
intel running leopard will freeze up with what sounds like the
disk is busy.
I do not see that my changing the application name would have an
effect on this but I am not sure. Is there some bug in the Imac
intel that occurs that would explain this hangup (freeeze)?
This doesn't sound very Fink-related, but we'll let that pass.
Lockups, in my experience, are often associated with hardware
problems, like poorly seated RAM modules, or bad ones.
