After doing some more research and looking at the source files I found:

1.  MIN is not declared in C++.  The function is not declared in the 
maccoreaudio.cxx file.
2.  The function is not declared nor prototyped in maccoreaudio.h.

It is recommended that this function be replaced with:

int min = i <? j 

I will experiment with this and see if the project can be built with this 
change.
