I used to use Xnest to run a rooted X desktop as a window inside OS X. So inside the window, X behaved as a full-screen (ie not rootless) desktop, but it was still inside a window on the main OS X screen, so I could see both things at once. I haven't tested it since the 10.2 days, so I don't know how much it will still work. This post has suggestions on how to do it <http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20040131222238684> Hanspeter -- Hanspeter Niederstrasser hanspeter AT snaggledworks DOT com ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Fink-users mailing list Fink-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-users
