I agreed to remove them, and had no problems with configuration other  
than the fact that new windows attach themselves to the position 0,0  
on the screeen. I can activate Spaces, and while the sectors are  
visible (I have four set up), move the window to another position.  
This is a new behavior since the last update.

This is also a new behavior since the last updates. The logout options  
have changed to include both logout and shut down; neither one have  
any noticeable effect. I have simply quit X11.
