There is nothing special to do: Just upgrade to the latest version you 
get with "fink selfupdate". In version fontconfig2-dev-2.4.1-105 or 
later, this specific bug is fixed. The CVS server was only mentioned 
because this is where the fixed packages first show up. After some time 
lapse, usually less than an hour, they appear then on the anonymous cvs 
and rsync servers, which provide the packages for "selfupdate".

I have such plans, but I wanted to wait for comments from the main Fink 
developers first. So far, the response has been a deafening silence :-(
