Thanks a lot for the answer Dave!

The first two lines of fink --version is

$ fink --version
Package manager version: 0.27.16
Distribution version: 0.9.0.2 i386

Although it doesn't mention point, I tried doing fink selfupdate-cvs anyway.
But the error message that I get it:

 Please note: the command 'fink selfupdate' should be used for routine
updating; you only need to use 'fink selfupdate-cvs' or 'fink
selfupdate-rsync' if you are changing your update
method.

The current selfupdate method is point. Do you wish to change the default
selfupdate method to cvs? [Y/n]
Failed: Before changing your selfupdate method to 'cvs', you must install
XCode, available on your original OS X install disk, or from
http://connect.apple.com (after free registration).

I do have XCode installed. I looked around for this error message, but the
only result I got was that I needed to have XCode 3.0, which I seem to have.

Any ideas?

 Berk
