Regarding the suggestion to use a cross compiler, this would require a
totally new
package in fink ala avr-gcc.info (eg ppc-gcc45.info). It also could be
problematic on
Lion and later as I don't know if their cctools still recognizes -arch=ppc as a
valid option.
