Hi fink team,

I'm maintaining denyhosts (in a most laissez-faire fashion) and when it
builds it uses specific paths based on the version of python used. So it
does things like putting logs in /sw/var/log/denyhosts-py26 or some
such, similarly for docs, iirc. As a result, I have versioned packages
-py26, etc., even though the executable doesn't really care which
version of python is installed, it's just a (robust) script. The
versioning is required because the .debs are different.

In endeavoring to make this package available on 10.7, I would ask the
group which version(s) of python I should support (because I really
don't want to hack the program to get around this problem and I'd rather
not support every possible flavor if I don't have to). On 10.5-10.6 I
supported -py24, -py25, and -py26.

I guess one way of putting the question would be, which version(s) of
python may I expect to be present on a user's 10.7 system?

Thanks for your input,
Robert
