Thanks, this workaround allowed me to build gtk+2 and some things that depend on it (like meld). When I call meld, I get the message [Media-Mac-mini-3:Arrays/srfi3/Binf-6] lucier% meld projector.scm RCS/projector.scm,v Couldn't bind the translation domain. Some translations won't work. Would something like this be caused by your workaround? It seems to be harmless for my use of meld.
