I am trying to install octave using fink. I tried all suggestions but no
success yet.
Here is what I get. Does anybody know how I can install it?

| Attention!
|
| Package xcode.app is an autogenerated virtual package.
|
| You cannot manipulate this type of package using the usual Fink tools.
| A detailed description of this package follows...
|
| This package represents Xcode.app and 'xcodebuild',
| provided by Apple. If it does not show as installed,
| you can download it from Apple at:
|
| http://connect.apple.com/
|
| (free registration required).
| If you are on OS X 10.7 or later and have in fact installed
| Xcode 4.3 or later, then you may need to run
|
| sudo xcode-select -switch /path/to/Xcode.app
|
| (changing /path/to to the actual path to Xcode on your system)
| to make it visible to its own CLI tools and to Fink.
