Fink seems to be using the gcc in /sw/bin/gcc, which is 4.7.2.
moulson:~/ 4> env PATH=`fink dumpinfo -ePATH libftgl1 | cut -d= -f2` g++
--version
g++ (GCC) 4.7.2

I still need to get to Hans's suggestion---it's been a very busy day with a lot
of distractions. I will try that asap.
