The other day I was running # fink update-all and I ran into the
following problem as it tried to update some large number of modules: it
couldn't find
/Applications/Utilities/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.8.sdk

I looked in that directory and found MacOSX10.7.sdk and MacOSX10.6.sdk,
but no MaxOSX10.8.sdk -- so I did # locate MacOSX10.8.sdk and found it
in ln -s
/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.8.sdk

-- i.e. differing only in the absence of the /Utilities/ subdirectory.

So I did the obvious:

# ln -s
/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.8.sdk

/Applications/Utilities/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.8.sdk

after which everything worked fine.

No doubt this is the wrong approach, but I was reluctant to just # mv
instead of # ln -s, in case some other stuff expected to find
MacOSX10.8.sdk where it is.

Just in case others are having similar problems, I decided to mention
this here. (I first searched the archives for "MacOSX10.8.sdk" and
found nothing.)

Hope this helps. Sorry if it is an annoyance!
