I do not have many packages that depend on gcc47, in fact pdftk might be the only one. I use Fink's GCC for things outside the Fink tree, and the 4.8 improvements look very nice... So I plan to install gcc48 anyway, but I was under the (incorrect as it turns out) belief that it conflicts with gcc47.
