After some testing, I found that atlas won't build properly in my 10.7 
virtual machine.  Strangely, it seems to build in a 10.9 virtual 
machine, and octave-atlas builds for me both on 10.8 and 10.9.

Please send me your build log and the config.log file from the 
octave-atlas build directory and I'll see if I can find anything.

I'll have access to a physical machine with 10.7 on it next week, but if 
someone else on the list has 10.7 and would be willing to try to build 
octave-atlas-x11 (preferably via "fink -kKl build octave-atlas-x11"), 
that'd be great.
