Removing fink-buildlock-m4-1.4.16-2 from /sw/var/lib/dpkg/status, removes the serious warning. That is, instead of: /sw/bin/dpkg-lockwait -r fink-buildlock-locale-gettext-pm5124-1.05-3 (Reading database ... dpkg: serious warning: files list file for package `fink-buildlock-m4-1.4.16-2' missing, assuming package has no files currently installed. 106518 files and directories currently installed.) Removing fink-buildlock-locale-gettext-pm5124-1.05-3 ... Failed: phase compiling: locale-gettext-pm5124-1.05-3 failed It fails with: /sw/bin/dpkg-lockwait -r fink-buildlock-locale-gettext-pm5124-1.05-3 (Reading database ... 106518 files and directories currently installed.)
