Changing the subject to point to the package which is actually having 
the problem.  The fact that you want xfig isn't relevant.

Those aren't compiler lines.  Those are messages about packages which 
were _successfully_ built so they're of no help in debugging your problem.

Look for the _beginning_ of the error messages rather than the end.
