Hmm...It looks like you don't have a JDK installed. You'll need to grab 
either Apple's legacy Java-1.6 or an Oracle version.

Oh and on that note, I possibly put too strict of a system-java 
versioning in octave-3.8.2.info.  It wants "system-java16-dev", which 
would correspond to the legacy Apple Java, but I'm not 100% sure that 
just "system-java" wouldn't suffice.  If you don't want to do the legacy 
Java, you might change that dependency.  I'm in the middle of a test 
build to verify this.
