Fair point! I was certainly a bit unfair in lashing out because as you
say it was only a few days ago I posted my requests. Sorry guys - I
hope Ryan will still consider my suggestions for the next release!

Aha! I didn't know about these! Indeed thats great news and yes I
shall give them a try (if I can find 'em)!

I will indeed be trying to make a customised finnix and may very well
share the results as I've done the same for sysrcd already - I have a
few very handy custom scripts (and packages, obviously) I'd like to
add in.

Still, everyone benefits from a better (if you agree being more
comprehensive without going OTT = 'better') default package selection
- we don't need yet another distro when Ryan can just tweak his to
suit more use cases very easily. The few packages I did request would
add very little in terms of .iso space/ bandwidth etc. but would add
much value.

Its totally Ryan's decision which of those to include but I'd at least
like to know why any of those won't be included in 104 if all the
non-X packages I suggested don't get approved by him for inclusion.
