hi ryan, would you give me a hint, whether it´s possible to put the directory finnix in a subfolder? i use a multiboot-usbstick that is booted with syslinux. in the moment i need to put finnix in the root of my stick, otherwise finnix is not found. is there a way to use a boot-option that finnix is found in the path f.e. finnix=/live/finnix-current/finnix?
this is what i use: user@myhost:~/mnt/_media/MYSTICK$ ls boot efi finnix iso live otfe tools this is what i want: user@myhost:~/mnt/_media/MYSTICK$ ls boot efi iso live otfe tools that should be the new directories or the path of the finnix-dir: user@myhost:~/mnt/_media/MYSTICK/live/finnix-current$ ls boot finnix perhaps it doesn´t make a big difference for you, but i like to have an ordered dir-structure ;-) at work i use mainly debian, privately i like to use live-distributions. in the past i liked to use around 8-10 live-distributions on one stick, but finnix is a favorite one. in the moment i use tinycore, finnix, partedmagic, liberte on a daily base, sometimes slitaz, grml or porteus. all these other distributions could be squeezed in an individual, ordered file-structure... so it would be nice to succeed with finnix, too. so i thank you for every help and hint, and especially for your commitment to finnix and the open source community. netnomad _______________________________________________ finnix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.finnix.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/finnix
