First of all congratulations to this amazing piece of software!
Maybe you're already bored of messages like that, but it has to be
said.
I don't think that will ever get boring. Thanks very much.
Now to my suggestion concerning the viewers:
I am using FiPy to solve semiconductor transport equations,
I'd be interested what progress you've made with this. I've been
doing some simple work with semiconductor transport lately and have
found it very difficult.
and would really appreciate the possibility to plot my particle
densities with logarithmic scales (1D).
As far as I know, the GnuPlot library has this possibility
included, so I think it won't be that tricky to implement that
feature into the gnuplot viewer.
It's not something we ever implemented consistently, but the
Matplotlib and gist 1D viewers have `xlog` and `ylog` flags that you
pass when you create them, so you can say
>>> viewer = Matplotlib1DViewer(vars=(p, n), ylog=True)
Alternatively (and this should work with any of our viewers, in any
dimension), you can do:
>>> from fipy.tools.numerix import log10
>>> viewer = viewers.make(vars=(log10(p), log10(n), ...)
