I'm using the TOT build, and I can do both irc #room chats as well as
private /msgs (NickServ came barking at my door when I logged on) � the
only problem I've had with the TOT build is the lack of being able to do a
private /msg with someone by clicking on their name in the chat list
(already filed a bug report at SourceForge for it)
