This is my second posting and has nothing to do with fire.app. Great..... Yes, this is great for you Chris. I got my second job in July working at a supermarket about a mile and a half away. The pay isn't great, but it's something. I'm a college student (liberal arts major) who had some interest in computer science, but finds math to be difficult.

Before that (july 99 - March 24) I worked at another supermarket with really crappy management.

Below are reasons I had for leaving my last job. I didn't get another job until 4 months afterwards. I've been having difficulties truly getting into what I'm doing, like in a spiritual sense. Perhaps I haven't had my date with destiny yet.

You can see how emotionally scarred I was from the first supermarket job:

1. A guy who bounced a $450 check. I didn't get it signed because I'd seen
the guy come to the store a few times, he graduated from the same high
school I currently attend. The manager gives me an hour lecture about
trust and other b.s., then says that the owners think I had something to do
with it.
2. On Thursday night I find a dead rat in the store. Another day I found
an earwig mixed in with the bread. Various people have told me the store
has a strange odor. I believe I've become accustomed to this. The store is
old and there is no area for employees to go eat, take their break in the
store, other than right next to loud machinery, on boxes or in the front of
the store next to the office.
3. The manager asks me to take the dates off old products (expired in
december, it was february at the time) and I see another employee who was
told to do the same. There are certain policies regarding how old
merchandise is handled that I don't agree with.
4. Not appropriate for the list.
5. On Sunday I'm on my break eating behind the door next to the office, two
other cashiers aren't at the register for whatever reason, he yells at me to
open up.
6. I was training to become a book keeper, make a few mistakes which
according to the manager have "messed up the books for the year", so the
owners want to put me back on as a cashier, making a dollar less per hour
($6.50 as opposed to 7.50). All the raises I've gotten since working at the
store I've had to practically beg for, none of them except for the last
reversed one were offered to me.
7. No benefits (employee discounts? (ha), time and a half on Sunday (yeah,
like that'll ever happen)
8. I push carts, sweep floors, stock shelves, move items around, etc.
While in the middle of doing one, I am constantly yelled at to do something
else.
9. I do one little thing wrong (didn't sweep the entrance of the store
[happened to be on the register that evening]) and the balding manager is
yelling at me about how it's not his job, he shouldn't be doing it, saying I
should know better, this lecture / yelling session goes on for a few
minutes. Trying to be diplomatic, I agree with what he says and admit I had
an error in judgement
10. The conversation I had with an ex employee who printed out our entire
conversation and sent it to the regional manager. He then interrogates me
about it, says I'm stalking her and rants on about how he can track what I
do online.
11. There are people at nearby stores doing less work than I do, making
more money. I've worked at the store for about a year and a half. Over this 18
month period, my raises have been a whopping $1.25 and I started at minimum
wage ($5.15).

Well, I'll probably get replies of feedback about how this list isn't an appropriate venue for such a conversation. For that, I apologize. It will not be a habit.
