Fire 0.28a was working GREAT for me (except for the Yahoo sign-off disconnect). In 0.28b I cannot connect to IRC (it causes Fire to crash).
I know it works for some servers, and it works poorly for others. Are you connecting to a public internet IRC Server? Which one?
The other problem is when I set my AIM, MSN, and Yahoo to auto-connect, AIM gets to online, adds the AIM Online Buddies list, and then the app freezes indefinitely (til I force quit). Any ideas?
When Fire freezes, can you do this ...
Open a terminal window
> ps -auxwww | grep Fire
This should provide a line that includes the pid of fire, it'll look like this ...
epeyton 1620 0.0 0.8 87988 6316 ?? S 0:02.80 /Volumes/HomeDir/Applications/Network Applications/Fire.app/Contents/MacOS/Fire -psn_0_7340033
Take the second number and put it into this
> sample <pid number> 10
(IN my case above it would be "sample 1620 10")
When sample is finished, it will spit out a log file in /tmp.
Send me that file.
